Kathleen McGinty
Bio:
Kathleen A. McGinty, throughout her tenure in the U.S. Senate, has worked to promote U.S. leadership in the manufacture of advanced technologies while also serving on U.S. delegations negotiating global environmental treaties. She is the only woman to have chaired the White House Council on Environmental Quality. She also acted as deputy assistant to President Bill Clinton. She also created and headed the White House Office on Environmental Policy. In 2000, she acted as counselor to Vice President Al Gore during the presidential campaign and served as a senior policy advisor to the Democratic National Committee. Most recently, McGinty served as vice president for asset management at Natsource LLC, a financial services firm specializing in energy transactions. Secretary McGinty currently serves on the Board of Trustees of St. Joseph’s University. In 2003, Secretary McGinty became the first woman to head the state Department of Environmental Protection.
