Bio: Jim Marzilli is in his eighth term in the Massachusetts House of Representatives, representing Arlington and West Medford, and is vice-chair of the Health Care Finance Committee. He is a leading advocate for working families, for progressive tax reform, and for environmentally sound energy policies. Marzilli was named 2001 “Environmental Legislator of the Year” by the Environmental League of Massachusetts for his work linking environmental protection and tax policy. He is founder and chair of the Working Group on Corporate Accountability, which has successfully fought to make the state’s $40 billion pension fund a strong advocate for reforming the management of publicly traded corporations. Jim is an advisor to numerous grassroots organizing and public policy-making organizations. He has served as the chief policy advisor to two candidates for governor of Massachusetts, teaches media skills and debate preparation, and advises candidates on campaign strategy.
