Bio: David Sirota is a full-time political journalist and best-selling author. He is a frequent guest on cable news shows and on National Public Radio. His writing, which draws on his extensive experience as a progressive political strategist, has appeared in the Los Angeles Times, the San Francisco Chronicle, the Baltimore Sun, The Nation and The American Prospect. He serves in a volunteer capacity as the co-chairperson of the Progressive States Network, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization. He is a senior editor at In These Times magazine and his writing is syndicated at Working for Change. Sirota was a twice-a-week guest on the Al Franken Show on Air America radio. Last year, he completed a book, “Hostile Takeover;” it was released in the spring of 2006 and quickly hit The New York Times bestseller list.
